Getting ready for an Art Walk

Frankly, I don't know really what I am getting myself into. I've been working industry trade shows for over 15 years, but this is different. I am attending my first Art Walk for my own art work. I am a bit nervous. I have been preparing for months for this upcoming 1 day outdoor art fare... Bought a white pop-up 10x 10 tent, side panels, an outdoor 'rug' in navy and white, navy table cloth, logo'd banner, gridwalls, a gold garment rack. This weekend I ran a mock-up in my little back yard, I needed to see what it was going to look like, and what I haven't thought about. Holy moly, I hauled up my folding table from my studio, an easel, a few of my large paintings, and a bunch of the art merchandise that I have been working on to have a look. It was great to have my family come over to give me a hand with the set up.

Setting up the tent, the carpet, and the signage.

We built shelving for the art pillows, gridwalls for the small original paintings as well as the hand embellished prints.

Found myself in 'Art Jail'... building grid walls in the heat.

We set up the furnishings for the merchandise to have an idea of how it will all come together.

My sister continued to stuff the art pillows to try them out in the rack we just built.

I made notes for all the small details that I missed and need to get together.

Happy with the way it looks for now, time to disassemble it all and pack it up for next weekend (Aug 10, 2025).

Everything is going to live in my great room until next weekend.
