Arrowleaf flowers are the offical flower of Kelowna, BC. This piece reminds me of early summer in the Okanagan Valley when the arrowflowers are in bloom and the air is fresh. The layers of translucent oil paint give the flowers a vibrancy and there is some texture with 'drawing' with oil bars.
